What the calculators do with your numbers
Every estimator, checklist and template on BaySlip runs in your own browser. The mileage, part prices, labor hours and customer details you type are never sent to us and are never stored on a server. Close the tab and they are gone.
What we measure
We keep aggregate traffic analytics — which pages were viewed, roughly where from, and which referrer sent them. We never ask for a name or an email address to read anything here, we build no profiles, and we do not sell or share what we measure with advertisers. How that measurement happens is in the next section.
Cookies and analytics
This site loads Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Analytics. Google Analytics sets its own first-party cookies in your browser (_ga and a _ga_ measurement cookie) so repeat visits can be counted as one visitor rather than several; Vercel Analytics sets none. We set no advertising cookies, we run no ad network, and nothing here is sold or shared with advertisers. Browser-level tracking protection, an ad blocker, or Google’s own opt-out add-on all stop the Google Analytics tag, and the site works exactly the same without it.
Messages you send us
Messages sent through the contact form (your name, email address and message) are delivered by email to the editor and used only to reply to you. The site itself does not store them.
Third-party links
Pages here link to vendors, regulators and parts suppliers so a figure can be checked at its source. Those sites have their own policies; this one does not cover them.
Sponsored content
Some articles and vendor listings on this site are paid placements. Payment buys presence, never the page’s verdict or a vendor’s ranking, and every vendor claim is checked against the vendor’s own documentation before it is published. A sponsor never sees anything about you.
